A Significant Date in Art History

In the fall of 1980, Fusaro, a former member of Clifton High School's Talented and Gifted Program, was accepted to the Art Program at William Paterson University.

At WPU, all incoming Freshman art students were encouraged to attend the Senior art exhibit in the Art Department's Ben Shahn Gallery.  Fusaro attended and was so overwhelmed with the magnificent pieces of art the Seniors had created he left the campus and immediately enlisted in the Military.

The sound of resignation emitted from Fusaro's mind was so loud some say they can still hear it echoing in the corridors of the art building almost 30 years later.  They say it appears to sound something like, "What's.... the... use...?"
